Description:
In an effort to bring 12-string acoustic guitar players both incredible comfort and wonderful tone, D’Angelico offers the Premier Fulton LS 12-string acoustic-electric guitar. This grand auditorium acoustic features a smaller, 16-inch-wide body with a classic spruce top and mahogany back and sides for a stellar tone with robust bass and shiny high end. A gorgeous mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard offers excellent playability and response, and when you are ready to plug in, a D’Angelico MG-30 preamp and tuner kicks out rich, amplified acoustic tone. If you’ve been searching for that classic, chimey 12-string sound, the D’Angelico Premier Fulton LS delivers!
A neck made to play
The mahogany neck on the Premier Fulton LS has been cut to a player-friendly slim C shape. For good reason, the C-shaped profile is a favorite among guitarists here and one of the most popular neck profiles worldwide. Its contours are beautifully matched to the natural curvature of your palm, making chording and lead playing easier. In addition, this smooth neck also features 20 medium-jumbo frets along the rosewood fingerboard that add to the comfort and ease of forming chords and laying down lead lines. And with the deep cutaway, you get easy access to higher notes and creative chordings.
The D’Angelico legacy
After mastering his craft during an 18-year apprenticeship, luthier John D’Angelico opened his own shop in Manhattan’s Little Italy in 1932. Catering to New York’s many jazz musicians over the ensuing three decades, D’Angelico and a single apprentice became New York’s foremost stringed instrument builders, creating over one thousand treasured archtop guitars until John’s death in 1964. After his passing, D’Angelico’s legacy lived on only through his rare, legendary instruments. After decades, the D’Angelico brand has resurfaced, bringing back the playability and attention to detail of the company’s New York roots. Today, we are delighted to offer this fine line of distinguished instruments. D’Angelico uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the finest available materials to create playable works of art for today’s guitarist. From a modest shop in Little Italy to the world stage, D’Angelico’s dedication to quality craftsmanship ensures that this brand won’t be going dormant again any time soon.
