Meet The Teachers

Gino Chris Nick

Gino is the Owner and CEO of Granata Music, specializing in both teaching and business management. His passion for music education, paired with a strong vision for community building, has helped shape Granata into Ottawa’s top music school. Through his leadership, the school continues to grow as a vibrant, welcoming space for students and musicians of all levels.

Meet Chris, your music teacher who loves bass and funk music. He teaches guitar, bass, and vocals. He's the kind of person who makes every lesson fun.

Nick, the ultimate jack-of-all-trades, doubles as your studio engineer. With over 10 years of experience playing in bands and working in the studio, he brings both practical skills and creative insight to every lesson. Whether you're learning an instrument or exploring recording, Nick’s got you covered.

Parsa Amanda Armel

Parsa has been playing guitar for 15 years and teaching guitar and bass for over 8. He holds a Master’s in music performance and is currently pursuing a PhD in music and education. His teaching focuses on building consistent daily habits—small, simple steps that lead to big progress. Fun fact: he became a barista just to afford his first real guitar!

Amanda is a talented multi-instrumentalist who teaches piano, voice, and guitar. She loves working with students of all ages and skill levels, always bringing patience, positivity, and encouragement to her lessons. With a passion for helping each student grow at their own pace, Amanda creates a welcoming environment where music is fun, expressive, and rewarding.

Armel has been playing the Violin and Clarinet for 6 years and has earned his level 7 RCM Certificate. His favorite genre is classical music with composers such as Mozart, Beethoven and Bach.

Alessia Tommy Thomas

Alessia teaches piano and voice at Granata Music. With a strong focus on creativity and confidence-building, she creates a fun and welcoming environment where students feel supported and inspired. Alessia works with learners of all ages, helping them grow musically while expressing themselves through the songs they love. Her positive energy makes each lesson both engaging and rewarding.

Tommy teaches guitar, bass, drums, and ukulele at Granata Music. With over 10 years of experience on guitar and a lifelong connection to music, he brings energy, patience, and creativity to every lesson. Tommy works with students of all ages and skill levels, making learning fun and engaging from day one.

Thomas is a talented piano teacher at Granata Music with a wealth of experience. He makes learning engaging and interactive, encouraging students to express themselves through music. Whether you’re just starting out or aiming to master new techniques, Thomas brings enthusiasm and creativity to every lesson.

Adam Toni Sophie

At Granata Music, we’re proud to have Adam as one of our dedicated instructors. Specializing in guitar, bass, and drums, Adam infuses each lesson with his vast experience and genuine enthusiasm for music. He focuses on creating an engaging learning environment, customizing his teaching methods to suit the individual needs of each student, ensuring they thrive and enjoy their musical journey.

Toni has been playing violin for nearly 13 years and teaching for 4. She’s a Level 10 RCM student pursuing her ARCT through the University of Ottawa pre-college program. Toni specializes in classical music and brings a structured, student-focused approach to her lessons. Fun fact: she plays in five ensembles and loves coffee!

Sophie has been playing piano for over 10 years and recently joined the Granata teaching team. She’s completed RCM Grade 8 with First Class Honours and is working on Grade 9. Sophie’s lessons focus on building confidence and having fun, blending technique, theory, and creativity. She’s also a proud Trekkie and a cat lover!

Jonas Cedric

Jonas teaches piano and saxophone at Granata Music. With a calm and supportive teaching style, he helps students build a strong musical foundation while enjoying the process. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your skills, Jonas brings patience, clarity, and passion to every lesson.

Cedric Kowlessar is a piano teacher who specializes in working with beginners. Great with kids, he brings patience and energy to every lesson. Cedric loves classical and jazz music, and makes learning fun from the very first note.
