Light is easiest. If your guitar feels stiff, try Extra Light.
80/20 Bronze = bright • Phosphor Bronze = warm/balanced.
Coated sets stay fresh longer (great if strings “die” fast).
If your action is high, lighter strings help a bit — but a proper setup helps a lot. We can replace strings + do a full setup so it feels right.
Start with 9s or 10s for easier bends and less finger fatigue.
Nickel Wound = familiar, balanced tone.
If you down-tune or hit hard, try a slightly heavier set.
Standard sets around 45–105 are the safe starting point.
Medium gauges can feel firmer and keep notes solid.
Choose sets built for a strong low B (consistent tension).
Start with Normal tension for comfort and control.
Hard tension feels firmer and can project more (more demanding).
If it feels stiff, drop tension instead of forcing it.
Look for sets made specifically for 12-string tension and feel.
Use dedicated sets for lower tunings and stable tension.
Tell us the instrument + tuning and we’ll match the right set.
Bring it in — we’ll install the correct strings and set it up for the tuning you use.
