The effects loop injects external effects pedals before the presence and tone circuits, giving your effects added harmonic bite. It’s the key to conjuring Morello's signature wah tone — placing your wah in front of the Power 50 Overdrive offers a mellower effect; placing it in the effects loop gives it a more aggressive edge without sacrificing tonal balance.
